Feeding South Florida

Alexis Knight Architects is providing comprehensive architectural and engineering services for a new 35,000-square-foot warehouse facility for Feeding South Florida in Quantum Park, Boynton Beach. Located on a 2.7-acre site adjacent to the organization’s existing facility, the project is designed as an expansion of Feeding South Florida’s current operations and includes the building, parking, infrastructure, landscaping, and supporting site improvements.

The facility is designed around three high-bay warehouse areas with 32-foot clear heights, providing dedicated space for dry goods, refrigerated products, and frozen products. Approximately 5,000 square feet of administrative office and support space is incorporated into the building, along with four loading dock bays to support warehouse operations. The building is planned with tilt-up concrete construction and a low-slope roof system.

AKA’s role encompasses architecture and multidisciplinary coordination from conceptual design and planning and zoning through construction documentation and construction administration, integrating civil, structural, landscape, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and site planning services into a cohesive commercial facility.
